After two smooth flights we landed and are now safe and sound in Jerusalem. We met up with our traveling partner school, the Kadimah School of Buffalo, at JFK and our friends from Montana, Norma and Warren. As soon as we got our luggage we met our guide, Miriam, and counselor Ori. They both are wonderful! We are a great group!
The weather in Israel is hot and beautiful. Our hotel is called Lev Yerushalayim, the Heart of Jerusalem, and that is just where we are. After a good dinner (everyone found something they liked to eat) we went out to a park and played some " ice-breaker" games and then we walked down famous Ben Yehuda Street with its shops and outdoor cafes.
Our next two days are full and busy. Hopefully I will have Internet to blog down in the Bedouin Camp :)
We are glad to hear you have arrived safely and are having a good time so far. You are probably boarding camels as we type. We will be following your travels and making comments daily. The comments and questions below come from the 5th/6th graders and Monifa, Nolan, Sydney and Martice. We hope you are having fun. We miss you.
